I. IDENTIFICATION:

JOB TITLE: Rehab Funding Coordinator
SUPERVISOR: Rehab Operations Manager-primary; Director of Rehab-secondary

II. POSITION DESCRIPTION:

A. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Rehab Funding Coordinator will function under the direct supervision of the Rehab Operations Manager.

The Rehab Funding Coordinator is responsible for coordination of funding for complex rehab equipment. This key position serves our customers and referral sources by informing them of the status during the funding process, and also helps to manage the flow of tasks needed to obtain funding in a timely manner. This involves working closely with your assigned ATP(s) and associated HLM branches.

B. CUSTOMER SERVICE:
1. Treats all customers, families, referral sources, doctors, vendors, and co-workers with dignity and respect.
2. Consistently demonstrates courtesy to all customers and co-workers on the job.
3. Consistently demonstrates proper phone etiquette, identifying company and self with each greeting, answering the phone in 3 or less rings and minimizing the use of “hold.”
4. Maintains strict confidentiality of customer and company information.
5. Demonstrates competence and knowledge in all work-related activities.
6. Acts professional and efficiently at all times, keeping personal phone calls and interactions at an absolute minimum.
7. Displays ability to listen attentively and shows eagerness to learn new skills.
8. Willingly seeks additional work when assigned tasks are completed.

C. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Enters line items of Product Spec Sheet (PSS)
2. Code each PSS
3. Send to funding for authorization
4. Bill funding after delivery
5. Follows order until we are paid
6. Maintains electronic filing in a current and orderly fashion.
7. Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

III. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

A. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
The Rehab Funding Coordinator will be responsible for the competent and efficient performance of his/her assigned duties. He/she will at all times behave in a manner conducive to a positive working environment. When assignments are completed, he/she will willingly seek additional tasks.

B. SKILL:
Must possess a high level of skill in working with computers and various software programs. Must have good interpersonal relationship skills in dealing with superiors, referral sources, physicians and office staff, co-workers and outside vendors. Must exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly when on the telephone.

C. MENTAL APPLICATIONS:
Must be able to plan and organize work for effectiveness and efficiency. Must be able to effectively respond to change of work assignment, multi-tasking and frequent interruptions.

D. EDUCATION:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

E. EXPERIENCE:
Prefer minimum of one (1) year experience in healthcare setting. Prefer specific DME experience.

F. ACCURACY:
Must demonstrate a consistently high degree of accuracy in the accomplishment of daily activities and adherence to company policies and procedures.

G. DEXTERITY:
Must have good fine motor skills and possess the necessary coordination and dexterity to operate computers, telephones, typewriters and other office equipment.
